Bowfell, Lake District

Starting from Old Dungeon Ghyll, I followed the trail along the scenic Langdale Valley, ascending the iconic rocky landscape of White Stones and Earing Crag before reaching Bowfell. The views of the Langdale Valley behind are incredible and there are plenty of places to stop and take in the view.

After a short stop at the summit of Bowfell, I started to descend towards Angle Tarn before making my way across the moor to the Langdale Pikes – Pike O Stickle, Loft Crag, and Harrison Stickle. Completing the loop, I ventured over to Pavey Arc and admired the breathtaking views of Stickle Tarn below. To finish the walk, I stopped for a drink and food at the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel.

The route took me around 6 hours and is just under 20km.
